Skyview is home to Australian Shepherds (2) and Swedish Vallhunds. Our dogs are health tested (CERF, OFA, PennHip) as needed between breedings and within 12 months of breeding. Puppies are personality evaluated at seven weeks, structure evaluated at eight weeks, eyes are checked, and pups are micro-chipped before going to new homes. The newer shot protocols are used with puppies and adults in our home. We breed occasionally and prospective buyers are screened and obligated to sign a contract to be sure our pups go to loving homes.

I started with herding dogs in the late 1960's because help was needed with cattle. I was told about Swedish Vallhunds in approximately 1999 and then brought the breed into our home to further enrich our lives.

I am very interested in health and genetics (member of the Health and Genetics Committee) and have had item auctions and sold calendars for fund raising for eye research.

I have had the honor of holding various positions on boards and committees with various clubs throughout the years. Another part of my life has been teaching positive reinforcement and clicker training for several years. Conformation was my main competition interest, but I am now entering the world of obedience also!
